Understanding Internet error codes

Here's a complete list of Internet error codes-it helps to understand what they mean. The codes can generally by grouped as follows - * 100-199 - Information Codes. Some versions of Office include Microsoft Office Picture Manager, a program that lets you view and modify images in several useful ways. But sometimes it will appear to hang when launched. Resolution In a nutshell, Picture Manager (PM) maintains a Most Recently Used (MRU) list ... a list of the files you've most recently opened with it. As it starts up, it apparently checks to see whether each of these files is available. In some cases (usually if the file's on a network) this can take a long time if the file's not there, and that can cause PM to start up very slowly. The MRU list is stored in a file called OISCatalog.cag located in %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\OIS Double-click OISCatalog.cag and choose Notepad when Windows asks what program you want to use to open it. .msc Not working

Hi, when you try to run the .msc (compmgmt.msc, etc...) through run command, then if it is not working for you, try this... Simple solution to this problem ("Access Denied" for most .msc files) is: (Re-associate .msc files to be open by mmc.exe). Steps are: 1. Go to System32 folder in windows explorer. (Example: C:\Windows\System32) 2. Locate file "Services.msc". Select the file. Then Right click it and in context menu, select "Open With...". An Open with Dialog will open. 3. In Open With dialog, select Browse, and locate mmc.exe (Ex: C:\Windows\System32\mmc.exe). 4. In Open with Dialog, you will now see "Microsoft Management Console" selected. 5. Select the option "Always use the selected program". Click ok. And your are done. Now, Run Services.msc (Start->Run->Services.msc), and it should launch the services without the access denied error.
