Find the MAC address on MAC Book Air - your Mac address is AirPort ID
1. Click the Apple menu at the top left of the screen;
2. Click 'About This Mac';
3. Click the 'More Info...' button (this will launch 'System Profiler');
4. Click the 'Network' line item in the left column; In the right panel, under the 'Ethernet' section, you will see the system's MAC address listed

To connect to the network

5. Click on the AirPort icon on the top bar if your MacBook Air does not connect automatically when you turn it on. It will give you a list of wireless networks.
6. Select a wireless network, or choose either "Join Other Network," which will allow you to call up a network you know of in the area and connect to it, or "Create Network," which will allow you to create a computer-to-computer network.
7. Choose or enter the name of the wireless network you wish to join, and enter a network password, if prompted
8. Use your wireless connection
